The 2026 World Series of Poker, the 57th edition of poker’s longest-running festival, is past its halfway mark and rewriting record books. Running from May 26 to July 15, 2026 at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas, the series has already produced historic moments: Adrian Mateos becoming the youngest player ever to six bracelets, Calvin Anderson winning a seventh, and the Foxen power couple (Kristen and Alex) capturing four bracelets between them.

🇪🇸 Adrian Mateos Makes History: Youngest Player to Six Bracelets

Spanish superstar Adrian Mateos captured the $250,000 Super High Roller (Event #41) for $4,334,411, defeating Bryn Kenney heads-up. The win was Mateos’ sixth career WSOP bracelet,  making him the youngest player in history to reach six bracelets at age 31.

The Foxen Dynasty: Four Bracelets Between Husband and Wife

Power couple Alex and Kristen Foxen have combined for four bracelets this summer:

• Kristen Foxen won the $25,000 High Roller NLH for $1,773,083 — her sixth career bracelet, extending her record as the most successful female player in WSOP history
• Alex Foxen won the $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty NLH for $594,246
• Alex now sits atop the POY leaderboard with 2,233 points

Calvin Anderson Wins Bracelet #7,  Razz Champion Twice Over

Calvin Anderson took down the $10,000 Razz Championship (Event #48) for $357,026, becoming the first player ever to win two $10K WSOP Razz Championships. He followed that up with another bracelet days later in the $10K H.O.R.S.E., bringing his career total to seven.

🇯🇵 Naoya Kihara: First Double Champion of 2026

Japan’s Naoya Kihara became the first double bracelet winner of the 2026 series, capturing the $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship in addition to an earlier title.

Mateos & Schulman Lead the Charge for Greats

Eight-time bracelet winner and Poker Hall of Famer Nick Schulman won his eighth career bracelet in $1,500 H.O.R.S.E., currently sitting second in the POY race at 2,007 points.

🇮🇳 Santhosh Suvarna’s Big Comeback at $50K PLO

Indian businessman and high roller Santhosh Suvarna — currently the leader of the India All-Time Money List — is making a major comeback at the $50,000 PLO final table as of today. Suvarna, co-founder of the Cadillac Diamond Casino at the DoubleTree by Hilton Goa, is one of India’s most prominent international poker exports.

The 2026 WSOP Main Event — Everything You Need to Know

Key Dates

• Final Day of Initial Play: July 13 (Day 7)

Why the Final Table Is Delayed

The 20-day delay is part of the new multi-year ESPN broadcasting deal, designed to build viewer interest before the live final table — reminiscent of the famous “November Nine” era of 2008–2017. The full final table streams live on the ESPN app, with portions also airing on ESPN2 from 9 PM to midnight ET.

Rule and Format Changes for 2026

Heads-Up Championship Expanded

The $25,000 Heads-Up NLH Championship has been expanded from 64 to 128 players, divided into two flights with re-entry allowed for first-flight losers. Dimitar Danchev took the title and $800,000.

Monster Stack & Millionaire Maker Re-Entry Rules

Both popular events now allow players to bust on Day 2 and still re-enter one of the remaining starting flights. The change pushed field sizes higher than ever — the Monster Stack drew over 4,000 entries.
