PokerStars is bringing its PokerStars Open tour to the south of France for the first time. The new stop at Pasino GRAND Partouche Aix-en-Provence, north of Marseille, runs in early November and is organized in partnership with French tournament organizer Texapoker.
The headline event is a €1,100 Main Event with a €1,000,000 guarantee, alongside High Roller, Super High Roller, Second Chance and Mystery Bounty events. Here’s everything you need to know.
What Is the PokerStars Open?
The PokerStars Open (PSO) is PokerStars’ European live tour, launched in 2025 to replace the UKIPT, the Spanish (ESPT) and France Poker Series (FPS), and the Eureka Poker Tour. Each stop is headlined by a €1,100 Main Event with a €1,000,000 guarantee.
That’s why we call Aix-en-Provence an “EPT-adjacent” stop. The PSO sits one level below the European Poker Tour (EPT), with lower buy-ins and bigger fields, and several PSO Main Events run as side events at EPT festivals like Paris and Monte Carlo. Aix-en-Provence is a standalone PSO stop, but it shares the EPT’s organization, rules and PokerStars Live League points.

Note: PokerStars’ official event page lists the festival as November 1–8, while its original announcement and several listings say November 2–8. The flagship events all start from November 3 onward, so either way the key dates below are unaffected.

The €1,100 Main Event: Will It Beat the €1M Guarantee?
With €960 of every €1,100 buy-in going into the prize pool, the Main Event needs about 1,042 entries to reach its €1,000,000 guarantee.

Both €1,100 stops in 2026 beat the €1 million guarantee by roughly 50%. As a brand-new stop, Aix-en-Provence has no track record yet, but its location in France, one of Europe’s biggest poker markets, and the Texapoker partnership give it a strong chance of doing the same.

The French-hosted PSO Main Event at EPT Paris was the second-largest PSO field of the season, a good sign for turnout at another French stop.
PokerStars Live League Points
Aix-en-Provence counts toward the 2026 PokerStars Live League. The league has High, Medium and Low leaderboards, and more than €150,000 in PokerStars LIVE credit goes to the top three finishers in each tier at year-end. The top 30 in each tier also qualify for a live freeroll with a €100,000 prize pool at the first EPT of 2027.
Aix-en-Provence is one of the final chances to earn points in 2026, with only EPT Prague (December 2–13 at the Hilton Prague) still to come after it.
