Assopoker Cup Returns to the PokerStars Live Room at Campione in November 2026
On this page
The Assopoker Cup is coming back for its second edition. After launching in November 2025 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Assopoker.com, the festival returns to the Casinò di Campione d’Italia from November 12 to 16, 2026. This year it moves to the third floor of the casino, inside the PokerStars Live Room, and for the first time the schedule also includes three side events.
The Main Event is an affordable tournament with a €330 buy-in and a 50,000-chip starting stack. Like last year, the structure is player-friendly. Day 1 uses 30-minute levels, which increase to 40 minutes on Day 2 and 50 minutes on the final day. There are three starting flights: Day 1A on Thursday, November 12, Day 1B on Friday, November 13, and Day 1C on Saturday, November 14, each starting at 18:00. Late registration stays open until 16:15 on Sunday, November 15, during Day 2.
Re-entries are allowed on the same day and on later days. However, once a player bags chips at the end of any Day 1 flight, they advance directly to Day 2 and can’t play another Day 1 flight.
The biggest change this year is the prize pool boost. The Main Event will have at least €50,000 in added Mystery Bounties. The mystery envelopes include two Gold Passes worth €6,300 each, which can be used for any live PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) event or for top online tournaments on the Italian network. There are also eight Silver Passes worth €2,300 each for the PokerStars network, plus €10,000 in cash prizes.
Players can also enjoy three side events. An Asso Turbo (€150) runs on Saturday, November 14, at 21:00. On Sunday, November 15, the Asso Deep (€220) starts at 16:00, followed by another Asso Turbo (€150) at 21:00. The Main Event final day takes place on Monday, November 16.
The first Assopoker Cup in November 2025 drew 477 players. Russian player Konstantin Generalov won the title and €26,800 after beating Italy’s Giovanni Riva heads-up.
Players who want to qualify cheaply can play “Assopoker Cup Sats” satellites on the PokerStars Italian network. PokerStars is also running four Club del Poker freerolls, and the Assopoker Poker Club offers freerolls too. Full details are available on the official PokerStars Live Campione page.
Before you travel: Campione d’Italia is an Italian enclave surrounded by Switzerland, so you’ll need a valid passport or EU ID card to enter the casino and play. The nearest airport is Lugano Airport, about 10 km away, with a taxi or transfer taking around 20–30 minutes. The event is 18+ only.
