TMT Championship 2026 Results: Lester Edoc Wins NT$4.76M

On this page
The TMT Championship III ended in Taipei on Monday, October 26, with a Filipino champion and a family double. Lester Edoc won the record-breaking NT$35,000 Main Event for NT$4,757,400 (about $146,418). The day before, his wife Ferlyn had won the festival’s Ladies Event.
Edoc started the final table as chip leader and stayed in front. With three players left, he made a deal with Aditya Agarwal (India) and Sunho Yoo (South Korea). The three then played all-in blind every hand, and Edoc finished it in just five hands.
Here are the full results, from the deal breakdown and every final-table elimination to the side event winners and the numbers behind Taiwan’s biggest TMT Championship yet.

10th place (final table bubble): Chih Hsuan Chiang (Taiwan). He moved all-in from under the gun with ace-jack and was called by Kuan Ying Chen’s ace-queen. Neither player improved.
The Three-Way Deal: Who Gained and Who Gave Up
Before the deal, the payouts were NT5,763,000for1st,NT3,900,000 for 2nd and NT$2,900,000 for 3rd. Here’s how the ICM deal changed them:
| Player | Original Payout | Deal Payout | Difference |
| Lester Edoc | NT$5,763,000 (1st) | NT$4,757,400 | −NT$1,005,600 |
| Aditya Agarwal | NT$3,900,000 (2nd) | NT$4,162,400 | +NT$262,400 |
| Sunho Yoo | NT$2,900,000 (3rd) | NT$3,643,200 | +NT$743,200 |
| Total | NT$12,563,000 | NT$12,563,000 | — |
Differences are our own calculations.
What this means: An ICM deal splits the remaining money based on each player’s chances, not just their finishing position. Edoc gave up about NT1millionoftheadvertisedfirstprizeinexchangeforaguaranteedNT4.76 million. Yoo did best out of the deal: he locked up NT$743,200 more than third place would normally pay.
For beginners, the lesson is simple. A deal reduces risk for everyone. The chip leader usually gives up some upside, and shorter stacks gain security.
Final Table Chip Counts vs Finish
| Player | Starting Chips | Start Rank | Finish |
| Lester Edoc | 14,825,000 | 1st | 1st |
| Injae Jeong | 14,025,000 | 2nd | 6th |
| Sangjun Jung | 9,875,000 | 3rd | 7th |
| Aditya Agarwal | 8,200,000 | 4th | 2nd |
| Hao Che Cheng | 6,700,000 | 5th | 4th |
| Ronald Haverkamp | 6,325,000 | 6th | 5th |
| Kuan Ying Chen | 5,650,000 | 7th | 8th |
| Sunho Yoo | 2,625,000 | 8th | 3rd |
| Feng Hsien Ching | 2,400,000 | 9th | 9th |
Two storylines stand out:
- Sunho Yoo’s comeback. He started the final table eighth of nine with just 2.6 million chips, about 3.7% of the chips in play. He climbed to the final three and earned NT$3.64 million.
- Injae Jeong’s collapse. He began just behind Edoc with 14 million chips but finished sixth. That shows how quickly a big stack can disappear at a final table.
How the Final Table Played Out
According to SoMuchPoker’s live report, the final table lasted about five hours:
- 9th – Feng Hsien Ching: The shortest stack moved in with ace-king and couldn’t improve against Sangjun Jung’s pocket eights.
- 8th – Kuan Ying Chen: His pocket aces were cracked when Injae Jeong flopped a flush.
- 7th – Sangjun Jung: The most important hand of the day. Jung flopped a set against Edoc’s pocket aces, but Edoc hit a runner-runner flush on the turn and river. Instead of doubling Jung up, it gave Edoc a dominant lead.
- 6th – Injae Jeong: He moved all-in preflop and ran into Aditya Agarwal, who flopped a full house.
- 5th – Ronald Haverkamp: The only European finalist was eliminated when Edoc made a straight on the river.
- 4th – Hao Che Cheng: The last Taiwanese player was knocked out by Edoc, leaving three players.
- Deal and finish: Edoc, Agarwal and Yoo agreed an ICM deal and went all-in blind until Edoc won after five hands.
The Road to the Final Table
A record field despite Typhoon Champi
The Main Event started on October 22 with six starting flights over three days. Just as it began, Typhoon Champi cancelled almost 1,000 flights in Taiwan. Even so, every Main Event flight went ahead, and the field still broke the record.
| Flight | Entries | Advanced |
| Day 1A + 1B | ~438 | ~67 |
| Day 1C | 370 | 55 |
| Day 1D (Turbo) | 69 | 11 |
| Day 1E | 377 | 57 |
| Day 1F (Turbo) | 164 | 25 |
| Total | 1,418 | 215 |
Flights 1A and 1B weren’t reported separately. Their figures are worked out from the totals reported by SoMuchPoker.
Yao Cheng Wang (Taiwan) led after the Day 1 flights with 1,464,000 chips, but he didn’t make the final table. All 215 Day 2 players were already in the money, with at least NT$70,000 each.
What the Numbers Tell Us
1. The guarantee was beaten easily. The NT$30 million guarantee was beaten by about 43%, so the organisers didn’t have to add any money.
2. About 86% of buy-ins went to the prize pool. 1,418 entries at NT35,000addsuptoaboutNT49.6 million collected. With a prize pool of NT$42.88 million, about 86% went back to players.
3. About 15% of the field cashed. 215 of 1,418 entries made the money, and the minimum cash was double the buy-in.
4. The champion won about 136 times his buy-in. Without the deal, first place would have paid about 165 times the buy-in.
5. The field has grown quickly:
| Year | Main Event Entries | Change |
| 2024 (inaugural) | 936 | — |
| 2025 | 1,076 | +15% |
| 2026 | 1,418 | +32% |
In just two editions, the Main Event field has grown by more than 51%.

Side Event Highlights
- Pete Chen won two titles. He took the Mini Main earlier in the festival, then added the NT$50K High Roller Battle Stack.
- Kristof Segers won one event and went deep in another. He took the NT150KSuperHighRollerforNT1.74 million and also finished third in the NT$50K Battle Stack.
- Nevan Chang topped a 51-entry NT100KHighRollerwithaNT4.6 million prize pool, beating Anton Zhen Zhao Lu heads-up.
- Mixed games were popular. Events like the 8-Game Triple Draw, R-O-S-E-T and Dealer’s Choice drew solid fields, which is good news for players who want more than Hold’em.
A Family Double for the Edocs
Ferlyn, listed in the results as Ferlyn Cabaling, won the 58-entry Ladies Event on Sunday, October 25. A day later, her husband won the Main Event. You rarely see a husband and wife win titles on back-to-back days at the same festival.
Edoc is a veteran of the Asian poker circuit, with past wins including events at the APT Philippines Championships. He’s also part of the Philippines’ WPF Asian Nations Cup 2026 team alongside Marc Rivera, whom he jokingly called his “lucky charm.” After his win, he encouraged more Filipino players to travel and test themselves in international fields.
Why the TMT Championship Matters
- Affordable buy-ins. Side events start at $45, and the Main Event costs about $1,100, so recreational players can afford a whole festival.
- Big guarantees. The festival carried around NT$48 million in total guarantees, up from NT$44 million in 2025.
- International final tables. The Main Event final table featured players from five countries: the Philippines, India, South Korea, Taiwan and the Netherlands.
- Strong growth. The Main Event has grown by more than 51% in two years.
Tip for travelling players: Look out for early-bird packages ahead of each festival. In 2026, the Main Event Flight A package cost the same as the normal buy-in but included extras such as bubble protection, merchandise and a tournament voucher.
Our Take
Lester Edoc’s win combined experience and good timing. He held the chip lead into the final table, hit a crucial runner-runner flush when he needed it, and made a sensible deal to lock up a big payday. Behind his win, the 2026 TMT Championship broke records despite a typhoon, beat its guarantee by more than 40% and produced winners from across Asia and Europe. If the field keeps growing at this rate, a 2,000-entry Main Event could happen within a few years.
