Israel’s Ran Azor has won the first title of his Triton One North Cyprus campaign. He beat a field of 54 entries in Event #2, the $2,000 One Night Bounty Quattro, at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel & Casino in Kyrenia. Azor took home $29,000 in total: $21,000 for first place and $8,000 in bounties.

The one-day bounty event ran on November 6 as a side event to the $3,000 QQPK Genesis Opening Event. It gave players a fast option during the opening days of the series.

$2K One Night Bounty Quattro: Tournament Overview

  • Event: #2 – $2K One Night Bounty Quattro
  • Venue: Merit Royal Diamond Hotel & Casino, Kyrenia
  • Entries: 54
  • Total prize pool: $100,008
  • Bounty pool: $28,000
  • Prize money (top 9): $72,008
  • Structure: 200K blinds, 15-minute levels
  • Winner: Ran Azor (Israel) – $29,000

With 15-minute levels, this event was a sprint. Short levels reward aggressive play and building a stack early. In a bounty format, every knockout also pays cash on the spot, however deep the player goes.

Ran Azor Beats Finnish Rivals to Win the Triton One Bounty Event

Azor’s closest challengers both came from Finland. Zhu Hengtao finished second, earning $15,200 in prize money plus $4,000 in bounties for a total of $19,200.

The bigger story behind the winner was Luka Sorainen. He finished third for $9,800 in prize money, but his $11,000 in bounties was the most of anyone in the field. That brought his total to $20,800, more than the runner-up won. It shows how bounty tournaments can change the usual payout order, since a long run of knockouts can be worth more than a higher finish.

Final Table Results and Payouts: $2K One Night Bounty Quattro

  1. Ran Azor (Israel) – $21,000 + $8,000 bounties = $29,000
  2. Zhu Hengtao (Finland) – $15,200 + $4,000 bounties = $19,200
  3. Luka Sorainen (Finland) – $9,800 + $11,000 bounties = $20,800
  4. Tang Yixi (China) – $7,400
  5. Sebastian Gaehl (Germany) – $5,800
  6. Roman Stoika (Russia) – $4,500 + $2,000 bounties = $6,500
  7. Kirill Beketov (Russia) – $3,508 + $2,000 bounties = $5,508
  8. Haroldas Usevicius (Lithuania) – $2,700 + $1,000 bounties = $3,700
  9. Aleksandr Kropotov (Russia) – $2,100

How Bounties Shaped the Final Payouts

Luka Sorainen won more from bounties ($11,000) than from his third-place prize money, and he out-earned the runner-up overall.

Roman Stoika finished sixth, and his $2,000 in bounties lifted his total of $6,500 above the fifth-place finisher’s $5,800.

Tang Yixi finished fourth for $7,400 without a bounty at the final table, which shows a deep run alone still pays well.

About 28% of the total prize pool went to bounties, so players who went after knockouts had another way to a profitable night.
