Kings of Tallinn Autumn Edition 2026: Schedule, €500K Main Event & Player Guide

Last Updated on October 6, 2026 by Bala Kumar

Kings of Tallinn returns this Friday

The Kings of Tallinn Autumn Edition starts on Friday, October 9, and runs until Sunday, October 18, 2026. The festival is at Olympic Park Casino and the attached Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel in Estonia’s capital. OlyBet has scheduled 65 events, including a warm-up day, and the headline is a €1,100 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event with a €500,000 guarantee.

If you know the spring Kings of Tallinn, the Main Event there has a €1 million guarantee and more than a thousand runners. The autumn edition is its smaller, younger sibling. It only started in 2024, and this is its second year. It has the same venue, the same city and the same buy-in, but fields are softer and the guarantee is half the size. For many players that makes it the better value of the two.

The numbers behind the festival

Kings of Tallinn has grown enormously in eleven years. Here is the Main Event field size over that time, using published results.

EditionMain Event entriesPrize poolWinnerFirst prize
Spring 2015 (first edition)140€137,200——
Spring 2024914———
Autumn 2024 (first autumn edition)701€658,940Mathias Siljander (Finland)€130,300
Spring 20251,181€1,098,330Kaspars Butans (Latvia)€182,000
Spring 20261,033€1,000,000 GTD metVeli-Pekka Penttinen (Finland)€149,775 (after deal)

Two things stand out. First, the 2024 autumn Main Event beat its €500,000 guarantee by almost €159,000, so there was no overlay. Second, spring turnout dipped by about 12.5% this year, from 1,181 to 1,033 entries. That makes this autumn a useful test of how strong demand still is in the Baltic market.

Will the guarantee be covered? Here’s a quick calculation. In 2024, each €1,100 entry added about €940 to the prize pool (€658,940 ÷ 701). At that rate the festival needs about 532 entries to cover €500,000. That’s roughly three-quarters of the 2024 autumn field. Unless turnout collapses, an overlay looks unlikely. But a second-year event with a familiar guarantee should still produce a very good prize pool for a €1,100 buy-in.

Key events on the schedule

You don’t need the full 65-event list to plan a trip. These are the tournaments that matter most to most players.

DateEventBuy-inWhy it matters
Oct 9–11Kings of Tallinn Mini-Main (3 flights + final)€250Opens the festival; a cheap first taste of the KoT structure
Oct 11–12Kings of Tallinn Cup€350Two flights; good value for recreational players

Oct 11–14Kings of Tallinn Championship€555Three flights; often the second-biggest field
Oct 13–14NLH DeepStack Mystery Bounty€1,100Mystery bounties can be worth more than first place
Oct 14NLH High Roller (one day, 6-max)€3,000Fast, tough, and done in a single session
Oct 14–18Kings of Tallinn Main Event€1,100€500,000 GTD, four Day 1 flights, 30,000 starting chips
Oct 16–17NLH DeepStack Progressive Bounty€1,100€400 bounty on every head
Oct 17–18NLH High Roller (two days)€3,000Last big-money event of the series
Oct 18DeepStack Turbo€350The last chance for Team Challenge points

Mixed-game players are well looked after too. There’s Open-Face Chinese Pineapple, Razz, 2-7 Triple Draw, an 8-Game, Hi-Lo Omaha and several Sviten events. Sviten is a Nordic favourite that mixes PLO5 with draw poker. The €555 Sviten Championship has more than doubled its buy-in since 2024, which shows how much demand there is for it in this region.

How the Main Event works

The Main Event has four starting flights. Flight 1A begins at noon on October 14, followed by 1B that evening, then 1C and 1D on October 15. Everyone starts with 30,000 chips. Day 1 levels last 60 minutes in the daytime flights and 40 minutes in the evening ones. Late registration stays open until Day 2 on October 16. Day 3 follows on October 17, and a champion is crowned on October 18.

Which flight should you play? If you can, pick a daytime flight (1A or 1C). The 60-minute levels give you about 50% more time per blind level than the evening flights. That means more hands and more room to outplay people. The evening flights suit players who are travelling in that day or want to keep their mornings free.

Re-entry: Players eliminated in one flight can usually enter a later one. Set your budget before you arrive. Decide how many bullets you will fire and stick to it.

The cheapest ways in: satellites

You don’t have to pay €1,100 to play the Main Event. OlyBet runs a large satellite ladder, both online and live.

•           €150 live mega-satellites to the Main Event, each guaranteeing 10 seats, run on October 12, 13 and 14.

•           An €80 Last Chance satellite on October 15 guarantees five Main Event seats.

•           €80 satellites feed the €555 Championship and the €1,100 Mystery Bounty.

•           Freebuy satellites with €20 rebuys and add-ons award Mini-Main and Cup seats.

•           Online satellites on OlyBet Poker, plus live satellites at Olympic Casino rooms in Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius.

Practical tip: In a satellite, the payout is a seat, so survival is worth more than chips. Once you are close to a seat, fold hands you would happily play in a normal tournament. Beginners who understand this simple idea often outperform stronger players in satellites.

The Team Challenge

Teams of four can enter the free Team Challenge. Teams earn points from their members’ results across eligible events. Two percent of the prize pools from qualifying tournaments goes into the Team Challenge pot. This year seven teams get paid, up from five, although the winning team’s share has fallen from 40% to 35%. Satellites and the €100 Win TV event don’t count, and an event needs at least 12 unique players to contribute. Registration closes at 4:30 p.m. local time on October 16.

If you’re travelling with friends, it costs nothing to enter, and it makes the side events feel more meaningful.

Practical tips for travelling players

•           Getting there: Tallinn Airport is about 15 minutes by taxi from the city centre. There are frequent ferries from Helsinki, which is why so many Finnish players come. Several of the past winners have been Finnish.

•           Staying on-site: The Hilton Tallinn Park is attached to the casino. Book early, because rooms fill up on Main Event days.

•           Budget: Estonia uses the euro. Tallinn is usually cheaper than Western European poker destinations for food and accommodation.

•           Don’t skip the Old Town: Tallinn’s medieval centre is a short walk away. The festival’s players’ party on October 18 is also there, at the OlyBet Bar & Grill.

•           Legal age: Check the casino’s age and ID requirements before you travel, and bring a passport or national ID card.

If you want the biggest first prize, play in February. If you want a better chance of reaching a final table for the same €1,100, October is the smarter choice.

Our verdict

The Kings of Tallinn Autumn Edition 2026 isn’t trying to be the spring festival. It offers a €1,100 Main Event that comfortably beat its guarantee last time, a strong mid-stakes schedule, real variety for Omaha and mixed-game players, and a cheap satellite route for anyone on a budget. For players in the Nordics and Baltics, it’s one of the best-value live poker trips of the autumn. For players further away, it’s a good reason to discover one of Europe’s most underrated poker cities.
