The Season Finale of Brazilian Poker

BSOP Millions is where the Brazilian season ends, and it is always the biggest stop. The 2026 season started in January, when around 6,000 players took part in the first BSOP stage of the year at a resort in northern Bahia, with close to R$30 million paid out in prizes. The tour then visited São Paulo, Rio Quente and the BSOP Winter series before this November finale.

2025 Set the Bar Very High

The 2026 edition has a lot to live up to. The 2025 BSOP Millions set a new prize record, with more than R134.94million(aboutUS25.2 million) paid out across the festival. That was the largest total ever distributed at a poker competition in Latin America and 40.5% more than the previous record from 2024, when roughly R96million(US18 million) was awarded.

The festival also had a truly international field. Players came from every Brazilian state and from 47 other countries.

The BSOP Championship: Can It Beat 714 Entries?

Last year’s Championship was the main attraction, and it delivered. The R30,000(6,000) BSOP Championship carried a R20,000,000(4,000,000) guarantee and was played over four starting flights.

The 2025 numbers:

  • Entries: 714
  • Prize pool: $3,877,000
  • First prize: $683,600
  • Players paid: top 103 made the money

The field was full of big names. Benny Glaser, Rafael Moraes, two-time WSOP bracelet winner Antonio Galiana, defending champion Marcos Kenne and the previous year’s runner-up Paulo Goncalves all busted on the final starting day. Diones Lopes led the final nine into the last day, with Pedro Padilha, one of Brazil’s most accomplished players, second in chips.

The event has grown fast. When it debuted in 2024, the R25,000MillionsChampionshipdrew503entriesforaR11,081,150 prize pool, with R$2,140,000 going to the winner.

With another $4 million guarantee in 2026, the big question is whether the field can pass 714 entries again.

Super High Roller Series: Where the Big Money Plays

The high roller events are what bring international players to São Paulo. In 2025, several big titles were decided during the series. Felipe Boianovsky won the $50,000 Super High Roller, Mehdi Chaoui took the $20,000 Super High Roller, and Zdenek Zizka captured the $100,000 Super High Roller Main Event.

Expect a similar lineup of high-stakes events in 2026, drawing top regulars from Brazil, Europe and the rest of the world.

Main Event: The People’s Tournament

Not everyone plays the Championship. The BSOP Main Event is the festival’s biggest-field event and gives recreational players a shot at a life-changing score. In 2025, Martin Romero won the BSOP Main Event for R1,221,805(245,000).

How to Qualify

PokerStars, the official BSOP partner, usually runs online satellites into the main BSOP events. In 2024, there were 90 qualifier tournaments available on PokerStars, and the festival was streamed live on the official BSOP YouTube channel. Keep an eye on the PokerStars client for 2026 BSOP Millions satellites.

What to Watch For in 2026

  • Another record? Can the 2026 festival top R$134.94 million in total prizes?
  • Championship field size: Will it beat 714 entries and the $4M guarantee comfortably?
  • Brazilian vs. international winners: A foreign player won the 2025 Main Event, so can the home players take it back?
  • High roller battles: Which international pros will make the trip to São Paulo?

Final Word

From November 14 to 29, the Sheraton WTC will be the centre of the poker world in Latin America. Stay tuned for full results and a complete recap once the 2026 BSOP Millions champions are crowned.
