What Is Wynn Poker?

Wynn Poker is the poker room inside Wynn Las Vegas, one of the Strip’s most upscale resorts. The room has 28 tables, each with a personal USB charger. It also has a sports betting window and dozens of large high-definition screens showing live sports, so you can follow the game while you play.

What keeps players coming back is the operation behind it. Wynn is known for well-run tournaments with friendly structures, attentive floor staff and a steady flow of cash game action. Food and cocktail service come to the table, auto-shufflers keep the game moving, and players earn dining comps for every hour they play.

Who runs the room?
In May 2026, Andrew Ormsby was promoted to Director of Poker Operations after eight years as Operations Manager. He replaced Ryan Beauregard, who moved into a Vice President role at Wynn’s upcoming Al Marjan Island resort in the UAE. Ormsby leads a team that includes Tournament Director Ray Pulford and Assistant Director Ryan Kirk, who previously ran Aria’s poker room.

Who plays at Wynn?
Everyone, which is a big part of the appeal. A typical Wynn tournament mixes local grinders, tourists, mid-stakes pros and, during summer, world-class players in town for the WSOP. The 2026 Summer Classic champions included Adrian Mateos and Kathy Liebert, but $200 turbos and $400 daily events run alongside the big-ticket tournaments.

WPT World Championship 2026: Key Events

The biggest event on the near-term Wynn calendar is the WPT World Championship Festival, returning to Wynn for the fifth time from November 27 to December 21, 2026. The schedule carries roughly $19–20 million in guarantees.

EventBuy-inGuaranteeDates
WPT World Championship (Mystery Bounty)$10,400No guarantee; $1M added to bounty poolDec 13–20
WPT Prime Championship$1,100$5,000,000Dec 5–14
Super Gold Million (Mystery Bounty, new)$400$3,000,000Dec 10–14
NLH High Roller$25,800—Dec 17–18
NLH 6-Max / 8-Max$10,500—During festival

How the 2026 Main Event works: The $10,400 Main Event uses a Mystery Bounty format for the first time. ClubWPT Gold is adding $1 million in cash to the bounty pool, and players can enter once per starting flight across three flights. There’s no official guarantee.

Why the Prime Championship matters: In 2025, the WPT Prime Championship nearly doubled its $5 million guarantee. A $1,100 buy-in with a $5 million guarantee is one of the best-value tournaments in Las Vegas all year.

Wynn Fall Classic 2026: What It Offers

The Fall Classic, which ends October 25, is the most affordable Wynn series of the year. It has 44 events with buy-ins mostly from $200 to $800, plus satellites, and more than $2 million in combined guarantees. Highlights include an 800NLH(400K GTD), $600 NLH events with 150K–300K guarantees, a 400NLH(200K GTD), seniors events and nightly $200 turbos with $10K guarantees.

How to Qualify Through Satellites

Wynn runs “Milestone” satellites throughout its series. These are cheaper tournaments that award seats into the bigger events:

  • Championship satellites: At the 2026 Summer Classic, $1,100 satellites guaranteed 10 seats into the $10,400 Championship.
  • Mid-tier satellites: 400–500 satellites awarded seats into $2,200 and $3,500 events.
  • Daily satellites: 125–200 satellites run during most series, often guaranteeing 5–10 seats into $1,100 events.
  • Fall Classic 2026: $125 and $160 Milestone satellites with 6,000–8,000 guarantees.

Tip: Satellites usually run the evening before each Day 1 flight. A $1,100 satellite into a $10,400 event can save you more than $9,000 if you win a seat.

Spotlight: 2026 Wynn Summer Championship

The $10,400 Summer Championship was the biggest tournament ever held at the Wynn outside the WPT. It drew 1,170 entries against a $10 million guarantee and finished with an $11,466,000 prize pool. Johannes Straver of the Netherlands won $1,824,370. Runner-up Giorgiy Skhulukhiya took $1,224,978, and Jans Arends earned $922,325 for third.

The guarantee was beaten by nearly $1.5 million, which shows how strong demand is for big-buy-in tournaments in Las Vegas during WSOP season.

Spotlight: 2026 Wynn Millions Championship

Joseph Spanne won his first major title in the $3,500 Wynn Millions Championship, earning 397,319afterbeatingChahnJungheads-up(271,245). Quang Vu finished third for $200,955. The event drew 694 entries across three flights and built a prize pool of more than $2.2 million.

The same series also showed how wide Wynn’s schedule is. Mixed-game events such as Big O, H.O.R.S.E., T.O.R.S.E., 2-7 Triple Draw and 2-7 Mixed Limits all had their own champions, alongside $200 turbos and seniors events.

Major Wynn Poker Tournament Series

Wynn Millions

Wynn’s late-winter festival in 2026 ran from February 16 to March 22. It was built around a $3,500 Championship with a $2 million guarantee, a $1,600 NLH with a $1 million guarantee and a $1,100 NLH with a $500K guarantee. The Wynn Millions name has a big history. In 2021, a $10,000 Wynn Millions event drew 1,328 entries for a $12,483,200 prize pool, and Andrew Moreno won $1,460,160.

Wynn Summer Classic

Wynn’s flagship series runs alongside the WSOP each summer, and it’s the reason many visiting players split their time between the two. The 2026 edition (May 20–July 13) carried eight-figure combined guarantees, headlined by the 10,400SummerChampionship(10M guaranteed). It also included a 3,500NLH(5M GTD), a 2,200MysteryBounty(3M GTD), several 1,600–2,200 events with $2M guarantees, PLO events up to $3,000 and a $25,800 High Roller.

Wynn Fall Classic

The Fall Classic runs from late September through October and has become the most budget-friendly Wynn festival. The 2026 edition has 44 events with buy-ins up to $800 and more than $2 million in guarantees. Past Fall Classics featured bigger buy-ins. The 2021 edition’s $3,500 Championship drew 1,775 entries for a $5,724,375 prize pool.

Wynn Signature Series

These shorter, lower-stakes festivals fill gaps in the Wynn calendar. In 2026, Signature Series ran January 5–19 (29 events, more than $1.4M guaranteed, buy-ins 200–1,100), April 20–May 3 and August 17–September 7. The next one is scheduled for January 11–24, 2027, with 18 events. The January 2026 edition included nine mixed-game events, which is a sign of Wynn’s growing commitment to non-hold’em games.

WPT World Championship at Wynn

The World Poker Tour’s season finale has called Wynn home since its revival. The 2026 festival (November 27–December 21) will be the fifth at Wynn. In 2025, the $1,100 $2M guaranteed event alone drew 3,284 entries for $3,169,060, with Viet Vo winning $374,230. Brandon Wilson won the $25,800 High Roller for $341,250.

Wynn Winter Classic (Historic)

Wynn added a December Winter Classic in 2019, headlined by a $5,000 Championship that drew 557 entries for $2,740,440. The 2021 edition’s $5,300 Championship drew 672 entries for $3,306,240. In recent years, the WPT World Championship has taken over Wynn’s December slot.

The Wynn Classic: History and Past Champions

How the Wynn Classic began
The first Wynn Classic was held in February–March 2007. Its $10,000 Championship was won by Zachary Hyman for $729,033. For its first four years it was a single annual festival. Wynn added a Summer Classic in 2011, a Fall Classic in 2012 and a Winter Classic in 2019. Today the Wynn Millions, Summer Classic, Fall Classic and Signature Series cover most of the year.

How buy-ins changed
The early Classics were high-buy-in events: $10,000 from 2007 to 2009, then about $5,000. From 2015, Wynn shifted to 1,600–2,100 Championships, and field sizes grew sharply. The Spring Classic Championship drew 198 entries in 2007 and 984 in 2018. Then, in the 2020s, Wynn moved back to big buy-ins with huge fields. That led to the $12.5 million Wynn Millions in 2021 and the $11.5 million Summer Championship in 2026.

  • Re-entry: Buying in again after busting during late registration.
  • Milestone satellite: Wynn’s name for satellites that award seats into its bigger events.
  • Mystery Bounty: Knocking out a player earns a random bounty prize, which can be far larger than the buy-in.
  • PKO (Progressive Knockout): Part of each bounty goes to the eliminator and part is added to their own bounty.
  • Mixed games: Non-hold’em formats such as H.O.R.S.E., Big O, 2-7 Triple Draw and Stud.
  • Turbo: Faster blind levels for quicker tournaments.
  • ITM (in the money): Finishing in a paid position.

Wynn Poker Room: Cash Games and Amenities

Cash games
Wynn spreads No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha from low stakes up to high-stakes games with no maximum buy-in. Its low- and mid-stakes games are known for deeper maximum buy-ins than most Strip rooms, which suits players who prefer deep-stacked play. Mixed games also run, especially during series. Check the room or PokerAtlas for live game lists, since stakes running change throughout the day.

Amenities

  • Personal USB chargers at every seat
  • Sports betting window inside the room
  • Large HD screens showing live sports
  • Tableside food delivery and cocktail service
  • Auto-shufflers
  • Massage service
  • Phone-in waitlist
  • Free WiFi
  • Non-smoking room
  • Discounted hotel rates for players
  • Currency exchange and valet parking

Comps: Players earn about $1.50 per hour played, redeemable for dining at Wynn.

Good to know: Wynn charges for parking, and the room doesn’t run poker jackpots. Players who chase bad-beat jackpots should look elsewhere for that.

Travel Guide to Wynn Poker in Las Vegas

  • Location: Wynn Las Vegas is on the north end of the Strip at 3131 S. Las Vegas Blvd., next to its sister resort Encore.
  • Airport: Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) is about 15–20 minutes away by taxi or rideshare, depending on traffic.
  • Getting around: The Fashion Show Mall and the Venetian are within walking distance. Other poker rooms, including Aria and the WSOP at the Horseshoe and Paris, are a short ride away.
  • When to go:
    • Summer (late May–mid-July) brings the Summer Classic and WSOP crowds. It has the most action but also peak hotel prices and extreme heat.
    • December brings the WPT World Championship.
    • January and spring Signature Series are quieter and cheaper.
  • Hotel tip: Wynn offers discounted room rates for poker players. Ask the poker room before booking during a series.

How to Register for Wynn Poker Tournaments

  1. Check the official schedule on the Wynn Poker website, its social channels or PokerAtlas. Confirm start times, late registration windows and structure sheets.
  2. Register at the poker room cage or registration desk. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID. You must be 21 or older.
  3. Pre-register for big events where it’s offered, to avoid long lines on busy Day 1 flights.
  4. Try a Milestone satellite first if you’d like to qualify for less.
  5. For WPT events, check the World Poker Tour’s official schedule. WPT events at Wynn may have their own registration process and online qualifiers through ClubWPT Gold and partner sites.

Registration policies can vary by series, so confirm with the poker room before you travel.

Practical Tips from the Tournament Floor

  1. Arrive early on big Day 1 flights. Summer Championship flights and WPT Prime days can have long registration lines.
  2. Play the value events. Large guarantees at 400–1,100 buy-ins often provide better return for recreational players than the high rollers.
  3. Plan your bullets. Most Wynn events allow re-entry. Decide your maximum number of entries before the tournament starts.
  4. Summer means tougher fields. During WSOP season, top pros play Wynn events between bracelet events, so expect stronger competition.
  5. Use your comps. Hourly dining comps add up during a long series.
