Imperium Milano One Plus One “100 Plus 100”: €200K GTD With €100,000 for First

On this page
Most poker tournaments split their guarantee across the whole payout table. The One Plus One “100 Plus 100” at Imperium Room Milano does something unusual: half of the €200,000 guarantee goes to the winner alone. That means a guaranteed €100,000 first prize for a starting buy-in of just €100.
The tournament runs from December 5 to 14, 2026, with 16 starting flights spread over nine days, ending with a final day on Monday, December 14.

How the “One Plus One” Format Works
The name explains the prize structure. There are two guaranteed pools of €100,000 each:
- €100,000 for the winner, guaranteed.
- €100,000 for everyone else who cashes.
Why this matters: In a typical tournament, first place gets roughly 15–25% of the prize pool. Here the winner is guaranteed at least 50% of the €200,000. It’s a very top-heavy structure. Smaller finishes pay less than usual, but the reward for going all the way is huge. It’s the right event if you want a shot at a big score for a low buy-in.
The Buy-in Gets More Expensive as the Week Goes On
The tournament rewards players who start early:
| Dates | Buy-in |
| Dec 5–6 (Day 1A to 1D) | €100 all day |
| Dec 7 (Day 1E to 1F) | €120 all day |
| Dec 8–11 (Day 1G to 1L) | €120 during level 1 only, then €150 |
| Dec 11–13 (Day 1M to 1P) | €150 |
Tip: From December 8 to 11, you save €30 by registering before level 1 ends. Turn up on time.

Every flight starts with 50,000 chips and allows late registration for 10 levels. Each flight plays until only 10% of its entries remain. Those players go through to Day 2 with whatever chips they have.
Which Flight Should You Play?
| If you… | Play | Why |
| Want the best value | Day 1A to 1D (Dec 5–6) | Cheapest at €100, with the most time to fire another flight |
| Prefer deeper play | Afternoon flights (15:00) | 30-minute levels give you more decisions per big blind |
| Work during the day | Evening flights (20:00–20:30) | 25-minute levels, still a solid structure |
| Are short on time | Day 1P Last Chance (Dec 13) | 15-minute levels. It’s fast and will swing a lot |
| Want to save money midweek | Dec 8–11, register in level 1 | €120 instead of €150 |
Our advice: Avoid relying on the Last Chance flight. With 15-minute levels, it plays like a turbo. Your skill edge shrinks, and the stacks reaching Day 2 will usually be shorter than those from the slower flights.
Can It Beat the Guarantee?
Our estimate: if around €85–€130 of each entry goes into the prize pool (the split hasn’t been published), the tournament needs about 1,550 to 2,350 entries across 16 flights to reach €200,000. That’s roughly 100 to 150 entries per flight.
For a busy poker room near Milan, and a December event with a €100,000 first prize, that’s realistic. If turnout is low, the guarantee protects players, and the winner still gets €100,000.
Strategy: Play for First Place
A top-heavy payout changes how you should play:
- Day 1 is about survival with chips, not just survival. Only 10% of each flight advances, so a small stack bagged near the end gives you little chance on Day 2. Take good spots to build chips.
- Go for the win late on. With €100,000 for first, finishing first is worth far more than finishing 5th or 6th. Small pay jumps matter less than in normal tournaments, so take reasonable risks to win the tournament instead of folding up the payout ladder.
- Learn the ICM basics anyway. At the final table, the gap between 2nd and 1st is big. Practise with our Poker ICM Calculator.
- Plan your bankroll. If you plan to play several flights, set your total budget before December 5. Our Poker Bankroll Calculator can help.
Check with the tournament director whether you can play several flights and which stack counts if you qualify more than once. House rules vary.

Our Take
The One Plus One “100 Plus 100” offers some of the best value of any December event in Italy. A €100,000 guaranteed first prize from a €100 buy-in is rare at any level. The 16-flight schedule makes it easy to fit in, and the early €100 flights are clearly the best value. Just be aware of the trade-off: the payout structure is built for winners, not min-cashers.
