The World Poker Tour is wrapping up Season 24 in style. From November 27 to December 21, 2026, the WPT World Championship returns to Wynn Las Vegas with 85 tournaments and more than $20 million in guaranteed prize money. It’s one of the biggest poker festivals of the year, and it has something for every type of player.
A Packed December for Poker Fans
December is always a busy month on the poker calendar. The European Poker Tour heads to Prague, the WSOP takes its Caribbean stop to Paradise Island, and the WPT brings its season finale to Las Vegas. For players in North America, the Wynn is the place to be, offering nearly four weeks of tournaments and cash games under one roof.
The Headline Events
Three tournaments sit at the heart of the schedule:
- $1,100 WPT Prime Championship – $5,000,000 guaranteed (December 5–12)
- $300 Super Gold Million – $3,000,000 guaranteed (December 10–14)
- $10,400 WPT World Championship – December 13–20
The WPT Prime Championship offers a massive $5 million guarantee at an affordable buy-in, making it one of the best-value events of the series. The Super Gold Million gives recreational players a shot at a multi-million-dollar prize pool for just $300. And the $10,400 World Championship Main Event is where the season’s biggest title will be decided.
Warm-Up Events Worth Playing
You don’t have to wait until December 5 to get in on the action. Several No-Limit Hold’em events with strong guarantees run ahead of the Prime Championship:
- $600 NLH – $400,000 guaranteed
- $800 NLH – $1,000,000 guaranteed
- $1,600 NLH – $1,000,000 guaranteed
While No-Limit Hold’em makes up most of the schedule, the side events also include other poker variants for players who enjoy mixing up their game.
Special Events for Ladies, Seniors and High Rollers
The WPT once again celebrates its diverse player community with dedicated events:
- $1,100 Ladies Championship – $250,000 guaranteed

High-stakes players will also find plenty to play, with several high roller tournaments on the schedule, including a $25,800 High Roller.
Cash Games From December 1
Not into tournaments? The cash game action kicks off on December 1 with the 1/3 and 2/5 Meet-up Cash Games. A wide range of games and stakes will run throughout the series, so there’s always a seat waiting.
Looking Back at Last Year
Last year’s series set a high bar. The $10K World Championship drew 1,865 entries, with Schuyler Thornton taking the title and $2,258,856. The $1K WPT Prime Championship attracted an incredible 9,876 entries, and Aaron Johnson walked away with $1,010,400.
