On this page
The final table is set for the biggest event of the Portomaso Autumn Series in Malta. Aris Velisarios Diminikos will take the chip lead into the last day of the €530 + 70 Malta Poker Festival Grand Event, which carries a €1,000,000 guarantee.
The Autumn Series has been running at Portomaso Casino since 23 October, and the Grand Event has been its headline attraction. Now, after a long battle, only nine players remain with a €200,000 first prize on the line.
From 2,147 Entries to the Final Nine
The Grand Event drew 2,147 entries, comfortably smashing through its €1,000,000 guarantee. A total of 269 players made the money, with every finisher in the paid places guaranteed at least €1,070.
Diminikos finished the penultimate day on top with 18,650,000 chips. Italy’s Raffaele Prezzi sits close behind with 16,450,000, while Aleksandar Kosarkoski is third with 15,700,000.
With the stacks this close, the race for the title is wide open.
Italian Players Dominate the Final Table
Italy has a strong presence at the final table, with four players still in contention. Alongside Prezzi, Alberto Marullo, Gabriele Santoro and Alessandro Siena are all well placed, each holding more than 14 million chips.
Norway’s Marius Olsvik, Ireland’s Daniel Andrew Jackson and Poland’s Maciej Przemysław Gut complete the line-up. Gut arrives as the shortest stack with 8,350,000 chips and will be looking for an early double-up.

Who Will Take the Title?
Diminikos has the chips, but with the top seven players separated by fewer than five million, one big pot could change everything. The Italian contingent will be hoping one of their four players can bring the trophy home, while the rest of the field will be chasing a career-defining win in Malta.
