RPT Championship IV is the fourth flagship festival run by the Royal Poker Tour (RPT) at Royal Poker Club in Hanoi, Vietnam. Over twelve days from September 11 to 22, 2026, the club spreads more than 80 tournaments across its second and fourth floors, building toward a VND 20 billion guaranteed Main Event that has become the centerpiece of one of the fastest-growing live poker circuits in Southeast Asia.

The series draws a genuinely international field. Regulars from South Korea, Taiwan, India, and the CIS region travel in specifically for RPT stops, and the club has built its reputation on a formula that keeps working: big guarantees, accessible buy-ins at the bottom of the schedule, and a High Roller program dense enough to fill a visiting grinder’s entire trip.

RPT is still a young series, but its growth curve has been steep. Here’s how each edition compares:

The series launched in November 2025 with a VND 35 billion guarantee across 44 events, running in partnership with Gods of Poker — that edition’s Main Event winner earned a bonus seat at Gods of Poker’s Jeju debut the same December. RPT II followed in March 2026 with a 65-event schedule and a 1,489-entry Opener, and RPT III in June scaled things up again to 83 events and 8,017 total entries, making it comfortably the biggest edition to date going into RPT IV.

The RPT Opener kicks things off on September 11 with a modest VND 6.6 million buy-in and a VND 6 billion guarantee, priced deliberately as an entry point. From there, the Mini Main Event (Sep 13–15, VND 8B guaranteed) and the mid-tier RPT Championship event (Sep 15–18, VND 10B guaranteed, 50,000 starting stack) act as staging posts on the way to the Main Event.

5. Main Event Details

The VND 20 billion Main Event runs September 18–22 on a VND 27.5 million buy-in — identical terms to the record-setting RPT III edition. Five starting flights run across September 18, 19, and 20:

Days 1A, 1B, 1D: 40-minute levels, deepest structure

Days 1C, 1E: turbo flights, 30-minute levels

Each flight plays down until exactly 12.5% of that flight’s field remains, and every player still standing at that point is already guaranteed a min-cash, regardless of which flight they entered. Day 2 consolidates survivors on September 21, with the final day beginning at noon on September 22.

Worth watching: the identical VND 20 billion guarantee on RPT III’s Main Event was blown past by more than VND 5 billion once 1,047 entries came in. A similar or bigger field at RPT IV would mean another significant overlay.

6. Buy-in & Prize Pool

The Main Event’s VND 27.5 million buy-in breaks down into the tournament stake plus a standard 3% staff fee, which applies to every paid event on the schedule except satellites. Based on the guarantee alone, the Main Event prize pool starts at VND 20 billion — but every edition of RPT to date has finished well clear of its stated guarantee once late registration closes, so the realistic final pool is likely to land somewhere north of that figure, mirroring the roughly 25% overlay RPT III produced on the same numbers.

Big buy-in players get a parallel track running the length of the festival, topped by the VND 109 million Super Star Challenge on September 15–16 — the single largest buy-in on the schedule, carrying a VND 3 billion guarantee over two days. Below that sits a full ladder of High Roller events at VND 33 million, VND 44 million, VND 55 million, and VND 66–77 million price points.

8. How to Register

Registration happens on-site at Royal Poker Club or through the club’s Telegram and Zalo contacts ahead of the festival — there is no centralized online cashier for direct buy-ins. Early registrants get a real discount: the first five players to register for most events — and the first twelve for the High Roller — receive 50% off the tournament rake, provided they sign up before Level 1 begins.

Live satellites into the Opener, Mini Main Event, Championship, Main Event, and several High Roller tournaments run throughout the festival for players who’d rather grind their way in rather than buying in direct. Satellites are exempt from the 3% staff fee that applies to other paid events, making them the cheapest realistic entry point into the bigger-ticket tournaments on the schedule.

The venue sits at 195 Kham Thien Street in Hanoi’s Đống Đa district, spread across the building’s second and fourth floors with more than 30 tables, professional dealers, and a dedicated lounge area.

Most foreign nationals need a Vietnamese e-visa before traveling — organizers recommend sorting this out at least a couple of weeks ahead of departure. Hanoi is generally a safe city, though standard big-city caution around phones and wallets applies in crowded tourist areas. Affordable accommodation, strong local food, and a lively nightlife scene right around the venue have become part of the draw for international players choosing Hanoi over pricier regional stops. On tax: Vietnam applies a 10% personal income tax on cashouts after tournament buy-ins and a VND 20 million allowance are deducted.

11. Previous Winner Spotlight: Huy Hoang Nguyen

The player to beat, at least on recent form, is Vietnam’s own Huy Hoang Nguyen. He took down the RPT Championship III Main Event in June 2026, entering the final table as the dominant chip leader and converting that pressure into a VND 4.6 billion (~$175,000) win — a payday that instantly doubled his career live earnings. Eight of the nine finalists at that final table were from Vietnam, China, or South Korea, a lineup that says a lot about who’s likely to be at the business end of RPT IV’s Main Event as well.

As of this guide’s publication, RPT Championship IV had not yet begun — the festival opens on September 11, 2026 with the RPT Opener and High Roller Opener, and this section will fill in with day-by-day results, chip counts, and champion recaps as the festival progresses. RPT IV arrives on the back of a busy stretch in Hanoi’s tournament calendar: USOP Ha Long wrapped up in early September with VND 120 billion guaranteed and a VND 30 billion Main Event, and Quads Poker Championship Autumn crowned its own high roller champions just weeks earlier at a different Hanoi club — so the region’s grinders are coming into RPT IV warmed up rather than cold.

The Main Event final table isn’t reached until the closing day on September 22, following Day 2 on September 21. 14. Prize Money Breakdown

Royal Poker Club hasn’t published an official RPT IV payout percentage table this far ahead of the event, but based on the structure used across the last three editions, a rough payout curve looks like this once the field pays roughly the top 12.5%:

Applied to a guarantee-only VND 20 billion pool, that would put first place in the VND 3–3.4 billion range — but as RPT III showed, a field of 1,000+ entries can push the actual winner’s share well past VND 4.5 billion once the pool clears its guarantee. Note that these figures are illustrative based on typical multi-flight structures, not an official RPT IV payout table.

15. Players to Watch

A few names worth tracking once the Main Event field takes shape:

Huy Hoang Nguyen — the reigning RPT Main Event champion from June 2026, fresh off doubling his career earnings in one tournament.

Nicolas Godard — RPT Championship II’s headline winner, a regular on the Hanoi festival circuit across multiple clubs.

The regional final-table regulars — RPT III’s final table was eight-ninths Vietnamese, Chinese, and South Korean, and that same core of Southeast and East Asian pros is likely to make up the bulk of the late stages again.

This list reflects recent form and prior RPT results rather than a confirmed RPT IV entry list, since Royal Poker Club doesn’t publish advance field commitments.

Every RPT event is played as No-Limit Texas Hold’em. The Main Event and other multi-day tournaments use a multi-flight re-entry format: players can enter any of the available Day 1 flights (and re-enter within that flight, subject to the specific event’s rules), with surviving stacks from every flight combined into a single field for Day 2. Turbo flights (30-minute levels) suit players who want to fire multiple bullets quickly, while the standard flights (40-minute levels) offer deeper, more patient play.
